One Awesome Road Trip: Nashville, TN / New Orleans Mardi Gras 2016 / Superbowl 50 at the Metropolita
Last week, a few close friends and I embarked on an awesome 8-day road trip. It was planned for a few reasons - to celebrate my 30th birthday, party for Mardi Gras 2016, visit music city Nashville, and to snap a ton of awesome photos throughout. Oh, and Superbowl 50 just happened to be taking place during Mardi Gras in New Orleans, so we had to enjoy that to the fullest, as well. We accomplished all of this on this road trip. It was definitely one amazing and memorable trip. Once again, proved why Nashville and New Orleans are two of my favorite cities.
Nashville did not disappoint with a band at every bar, on every floor - all very talented and very engaging. Mardi Gras in New Orleans was full of color, partying, creativity, and tradition. Every day was packed with exciting parades with crowds along the streets to cheer for beads and other souvenirs to be tossed their way from each and every unique float that passed by. Bourbon was always crowded with costumed revelers...drinks constantly flowing and so many smiles. Of course, every bar was very much alive with bands, a dj, or karaoke. There wasn't a shortage of dancing at any moment neither. It was a wild and fun scene each an every day from our arrival on Saturday all the way through midnight on Fat Tuesday. Grateful to have been a part of it all, and to have met so many fun and interesting people.
